As Chief Architect for the event-based products, involved in the ArcSight ESM and well as the ArcSight Logger products, and basically any engineering effort at some level through participation in architecture council. Working with the development teams and product management on feature prioritization as well as design, for ArcSight ESM 4.0, 4.5 and 5.0 releases as well as all ArcSight Logger releases. Led two development teams (server/database and UI) with a total of 17 people and two managers. Provided important last-level engineering escalation support to customers.

As the first server-side engineer, built the ArcSight ESM backend, and grew and managed the server team. Designed and implemented the core backend event handling framework based on a pipe metaphor, which proved flexible enough to sustain a later change in the threading model without impact to the individual processor modules. Also designed and implemented the object-relational mapping framework that underlies much of the configuration flexibility in the ArcSight ESM product based on a simple resource/relationship model. Designed and developed core product features such as a flexible framework for real-time query processing and the initial set of stream processors, including the necessary abstractions to decouple the visual display of the gathered data. Also co-designed and implemented a patented approach to display large result sets that change dynamically.

Co-founder of Gigaton, Inc., an infrastructure software company enabling distributed file management solution over IP-enabled networks. Involved in product definition and key IP development as well as in designing and implementing software solutions. Acted as a team lead and software development manager for a group of twelve developers, reporting directly to the VP of Engineering. Involved in fund raising efforts of company including presenting concept and technology to venture capitalists
