The tasks I was asked to complete during my internship included:- Reviewing the departments microsite for improvements. - Surveying the internal EMS coordinators across the University, followed by a report on my findings.- Communicating processes such as ethical procurement to EMS coordinators across the University. - Helping to coordinate the IT Schools Africa project.- Review of the Green Impact Workbook in line with other industry benchmarks.As a result of my internship I am now also working towards achieving the Swansea University Sustainability Award.

I developed a system for gathering live KPI data for the retail network, a system which had never existed previously. Using the data collected, I reported a clear report to the Senior Management and Executive Team, to enable them to act in real time. Through collaboration with internal department leaders and external regulatory bodies, I wrote the policies and procedures to be followed throughout the retail network to ensure all areas were knowledgable and compliant in line with industry standards. Another part of my role was to ensure branches met audit standards, as a result I set up a process of pre audit assessments, this involved regular visits to the branches in a view to carrying out such assessments and following up on action plans.

    Appointed as Senior Training Consultant and given a team of 5 Training Consultants to deliver internal training projects in sales and service, with collaboration from an external provider. I was responsible for working as the lead in the project with an external training provider to design and deliver a sales and service training programme to be delivered to the retail network via pre course reading and assessment, classroom training and follow up training and coaching in the field. Following on from delivery I evaluated the training by monitoring sales data pre and post training in order to determine training effectiveness and ROI. Details of which I communicated to executive stakeholders. The result of the training was a 67% increase in mortgages and a 36% increase in insurance sales 6 months following training delivery. The training programme designed and delivered was also recognised with a National Training Award for 'Best Collaboration with an External Training Provider'.
