In January and February of 2020, I helped a team of attorneys, during a multi-week trial in Las Vegas, Nevada, secure a defense verdict against a $40 million demand made by the plaintiffs.

During my tenure, the Purple increased its readership and broadened its online presence, more than doubling the number of yearly visitors to the newspaper’s website (thesewaneepurple.org). I personally overhauled the newspaper's layout and visual identity, complete with redesigned logos, fonts, and a redesigned website. Also during my tenure, our editorial board refined the newspaper's mission statement to reflect an increased focus on investigative work. The newspaper was awarded an honor rating of “First Class” by the Associated Collegiate Press for issues in Spring 2017 with marks of distinction for coverage, content, and leadership.In addition to my editorial and leadership responsibilities, I continued to regularly write for the newspaper.
