Managed the team of 10 responsible for vetting and processing 13,000 annual lodgements and claims, and 100 unique weekly enquiries, relating to the $190 million Retail Security Bond scheme. Handled workload management, quality control, customer service escalations, workforce recruitment and staff development. Sat on the OSBC Executive Team and represented OSBC at state emergency planning workshops. ACHIEVEMENTS• Reduced standard claim completion time from 10 to 2 working days• Led the team through a complete change of IT system and related business processes, including transforming all processes to digital workflows • Identified the opportunity to improve the return on investment of $190 million bonds held in trust to boost average revenue for the unit, then facilitated the change process• Acted as operational subject matter expert for the design of the “Trust Management” component of the WeAgree platform over two years• Selected to participate in the NSW Leadership Academy’s “Leading Managers” program (one of approximately 30 participants in 2017).

Led team of 25 that support small businesses by providing dispute resolution services. The team annually handled approximately 18,000 strategic enquiries, 1000 mediation matters and 13,000 bond transactions. Acting registrar for the Retail Leases Act 1994 (NSW) and final decision-maker on complex disputes. Delegated and reviewed all ministerial requests and correspondence. Responsible for $5.9 million budget and preparing budget materials for financial year 2019-20. ACHIEVEMENTS• Led a workshop reviewing the Mediation team’s goals and growth opportunities and turned the outcomes into pilot projects assessing new approaches to our work including: o expansion and normalisation of additional mediation formats o measuring customer service outcomes o improving readiness for responding to state emergencies o development of business continuity plans and review of unit risks o increased team resilience training and accreditation• Facilitated a managerial team review of unit’s personnel and operating structure and recommended structural changes to promote ongoing innovation and growth• Established and lead a team to assess and test how the Commission engages with regional customer groups to maximise the effectiveness of outreach activities• Represented the Commissioner at meetings with ministerial offices and the Department of Industry Cluster Leadership Group.

Selected to lead an internal management consulting team reviewing the value and efficacy of two statutory bodies. Directed the team of four experts from different departments to complete rapid reviews including stakeholder interviews, value analysis, solutions planning, and preparing recommendations in presentations and related briefings. Part of Treasury’s Diversity and Inclusivity policy development team.• Completed two full reviews in 11 weeks with no pre-existing process framework• Implemented and refined an agile framework for managing Treasury projects going forward• Received unsolicited feedback from stakeholders about the high quality of the work and processes.

Renovated a former army barracks provided by the Hong Kong government for use as Crossroads’ headquarters.
