Agency G is where I received my first taste of project and client management.I was exposed to what it takes to be an amazing boss, how to present deliverables and maintain project status and progression.I was in charge of managing the social media profiles and creating media advisories of Arizona Pop Warner. I learned what it was like to design and send out monthly newsletters for databases of more than 2,000 people at one time through constant contact.

The responsibilities and relationships I had the opportunity of experiencing helped not only with my communication with strangers, but also helped encourage my love for leadership.I had the opportunity to tend bar for the highest profiled season ticket holder for ASU events. Over my time with Sodexo, I trained +12 employees to properly work the beer stand and teach them how to prepare specific cocktails and I handled an average of 450+ guests every night.

The most defining experience of my relatively short, but abundant life. I had the opportunity to constantly grow as a leader, learn how to effectively communicate and to live outside my comfort zone for 13 months straight.I could not have survived or learned as much as I did without everyone else involved in making sure that TEDxGrandCanyonUniversity ran amazing. The mentorship I received grew me as a project manager and a leader, the commitment I received from the management staff made the whole event possible, and the interactions I was involved in have the potential to be a self-development moment even months or years after the initial interaction.I learned how to implement stakeholder management plans to make sure those who are the cornerstone of the event's success enjoy and appreciate their involvement and I learned how to communicate in an efficient manner. Once my spare time became less abundant I realized other people's time was even more valuable than mine. I was fortunate enough to receive leadership advice from our stakeholders whether it was intentional advice or not leading to my desire to be in opportunities that allow me to continue in a leadership role to practice, learn and improve my leadership abilities. The most humbling moments in the world are when a group of individuals commits their time and efforts to something you have created because they believe and support in your creation. TEDxGrandCanyonUniversity was created for the students to have an unforgettable experience, and other students wanted to make that mission come true, not for themselves, but for the event as a whole. There is nothing more gratifying and fulfilling as moments like those.

Due to my experience and integrity, I was provided the opportunity to supervise and manage the Bud Light Tailgate Party for the Arizona Cardinals. While I was the Regional Manager, I made sure to have the same duties and responsibilities as the rest of the employees.While managing more than 12 employees every Sunday, I would have to assist with the set-up and tear down of the equipment every home game along with making sure they were comfortable and happy while working in the Arizona heat.

Healthy LifeStars (HLS) taught me to be attentive to detail and exposed me to communicating efficiently.There is nothing more important than getting the little things right. I learned this while creating 4 (e)books recapping certain events or yearly summaries and creating comprehensive 6-month social media plans for all of the business' social media profiles (Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin and Instagram).I was expected to go out of my comfort zone and share the mission of HLS to businesses so they could support the fight against childhood obesity. I was responsible for acquiring +$1,500 of donations for our annual fundraiser.

This was the second restaurant I had helped open, but the first place where I became a great server.Not only was I a server, but I was the first and only employee hired for two months, where I helped with construction work to renovate the interior of the restaurant. I learned how to install baseboards, bathrooms, kitchens, and furniture. After 4 years of working in the food and beverage industry and being a server, at The Rogue Tomato, I perfected my ability to connect with guests that would come in, describe the food descrpitively resulting in an average of $700 in sales a shift without a single complaint from a guest for my entire year I trained, lead, and mentored new servers and bussers.

All the skills it takes to be a great teacher are required to be a great leader.I obviously had to have a thorough knowledge of beginning accounting and quantitative methods. I then had to learn how to understand and adapt to unique learning styles instead of them having to adapt to a different teaching style.
