Buyer/Planner Iv - Group Lead
Current- Direct backup to the acting supervisor. Coach and train other employees as needed.- Conduct monthly update meetings with Plant Management/Executive personnel to review monthlyproduction targets, inventory analytics, capacity planning for appropriate staffing needs, outbound customer shipments, and incoming materials to the plant.- Manages ERP material & production planning work bench by creating, releasing, and maintainingpurchase/work orders as required to support demand requirements utilizing optimized procurement processes- Responsible for supporting inventory targets by making informed buying decisions, constantly evaluating active inventory levels, and applying inventory management tools such as consigned inventory or vendor managed inventory.- Responsible for identifying and implementing cost reduction activities using optimized processes, while achieving maximum leverage of spend, competitive sourcing and supplier collaboration to reduce costs.- Conduct daily production meetings with plant management to ensure work orders, sales order schedules and customer promise dates are achieved.- Manage inbound material utilizing TMS, select carriers for best price and service levels, file damage claims as required.
