As a Court Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children and CASA Supervisor, managed a team of about 50 wonderful volunteer CASAs with over 50 foster children. Took over and expanded new ASTI (Advocates for Successful Transition to Independence) project to provide continuing support for foster youth aging out of the social welfare system.

Co-developed the original First Response pregnancy and ovulation diagnostic tests. Researched diagnostic tests for sexually transmitted diseases. Implemented statistical design of experiments.

Research in Departments of Biology and Chemistry examining cell-cell adhesion and suicide enzyme inhibitors for emphysema.
