I wanted to study mechanical engineering because I thought it was the best way for me contribute to the world and help people by using my skills and interests. I've always admired the way engineers think, and how good they are at solving problems and, as a student studying Mechanical Engineering, I'm doing my best to acquire these essential skills. I've been interested in mathematics and natural sciences since I was a child, therefore I was always inclined to be an engineer. I've had the chance to observe how engineers work when I had an internship in a company that was responsible for monitoring the construction of a polyester factory while I was in high school and I was really interested in what the mechanical engineers were doing. I'm very concerned with the problems some people are facing all around the world, due to the lack of resources such as food, clean water and electricity, and I'm hoping to work towards solving these problems as well as I can with the skills and knowledge I'll have when I graduate from college.
