I planned and executed user research for Microsoft TV’s set top box and mobile clients with methods including usability studies, RITE, field studies, eye tracking, card sorts, focus groups, competitor analysis, and surveys. Additional responsibilities included managing research vendors in the UK and China, developing and updating personas, and writing on-screen text for all Microsoft TV products.

I managed and conducted usability studies, focus groups, surveys, and exploratory interviews for a usability consulting firm. Typical projects had 12 – 60 participants and included live or prototype versions of mobile devices or web sites. I also coached and mentored colleagues on moderating, analysis, and project management skills.
