With many years of working experience in all aspects of Commercial Shipping at various Ship owning, Chartering, Operating, Ship Management, and Ship Brokering Companies, I have gained extensive Shipping and sales experience in global markets, with a focus on the shipping industry, a proven ability to identify business opportunities, create/optimize commercial strategies, build relationships at all levels of an organization, lead teams and drive results. I have a flexible approach combined with a positive attitude required for networking both internally and externally, Strong interpersonal skills compound with commitment, loyalty, resilience, and self-discipline. I’m client-oriented and focused on delivering results. I graduated with a Master of Science (MSc.) degree in Economics from Queen Mary University of London in August 1980; Became a Fellow of the London Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (FICS) in 1993; Associate of the London Chartered Institute of Arbitration (ACIArb) in 2015; Supporting Member of the London Maritime Arbitration Association (LMAA) in 2019, and a Full Member of the International Association of Marine Consultants and Surveyors (IAMCS) in May 2023.My last employments were with Van Ommeren UK and V. Ships Plc in the City of London, where I spent 18 years (from 1995 to 2013) working as a Chartered Shipbroker, Chartering Manager, and Director of Chartering - Middle East Market.In the year 2013, I set up my own Shipbroking company in the United Kingdom (Blue Sea Star Shipping and Investment Ltd). The company is involved in Worldwide Dry Cargo and Tanker brokering activities for both Chartering and SNP.
