I have worked hard upon acquiring a varied set of skill assortments throughout my life to transform myself from a strong independent woman into a force of nature as required, despite being chronically ill. Blessed to live in the heart of the Appalachia, where roots still run deep in heritage, work ethic, and dedication to work in cultivating the land. The culture is so thick it has worked it's way into our language up from the mountains itself. When I began researching, investigating and writing I took what was already ingrained in me from being raised in the hills & hollers then combined it with my adult experiences elsewhere. What coalesced into a melody that strikes passion in those souls that had all but given up, allowing them to tap into their better stronger natures. I have been working exceedingly hard at building an inter-dependent network of intelligent, tough, and hard-working people of which I call "CommUnity." It's always good to know people of which you can call upon during hours of one another's needs to fight against the incestuous nature of the "good ole boy's" cronyism which has been thriving here far longer than I have drawn breath. I am a community advocate, K9 behaviorist, and freelance journalist. Yes, the big black shadow of a service dog is mine. His name is Segen.
