I coordinated a team of Social Media remote volunteers who created content for our various projects. Crowd2map is part of the Tanzania Development Trust who focuses on improving living conditions in rural Tanzania especially for girls and women. They do this through raising awareness online of girls who experience FGM in Tanzania and providing ways for girls and women to create a future including income generation and school/ safe house building.My role was to:- provide assistance to Chairperson of the charity as needed- manage a team of social media volunteers- schedule & take notes for our monthly planning meeting- set up & maintain efficient use of Airtable for all projects- ensure smooth operations in our social media teams- write job descriptions, recruit, interview & onboard new volunteers from the UN volunteer portal- File management on our Google Drive- Organised the social media for the State of the Map Tanzania hybrid conference which took place in Dar es Salaam in January 2023. I created & managed the SOTM Tanzania Twitter and Linkedin page. I also created graphics on Canva for this event. While in this role I initiated a variety of processes to improve our work flow including:- Monthly social media meetings with lead volunteers- Initiated onboarding processes for new volunteers - Built new work flows for processing and recruiting new volunteers- Attented Airtable webinars and instructed our social media leads how to use Airtable effectively- Created social media planning documents for Crowd2map.In addition to these roles & initiatives I also mentored 2 interns on effective copywriting, improving their English language and essay skills.
