I am currently Editorial Manager for Children and Young Adult’s Literature at FTD Educação, one of the largest educational publishing houses in Brazil. For twelve years, I was Director for Children and Young Adult Department at Cosac Naify publishing house. Under my command, Cosac Naify was awarded with the BOP - Best Children's Publisher of the Year (2012) at the Bologna Children's Book Fair, as well as with a New Horizon Award (2011) and three Honorable Mentions, at the same fair. I was also finalist at The International Trade Children’s and Young Adult Publisher Award at London Book Fair (2014). Regarding editorial achievements, I was able to publish for the first time in Brazil works of important authors, such as Maurice Sendak, and specialists on children’s books like Peter Hunt and Maria Nikolajeva. I was also invited to attend at international events, such as the Salon du Livre et de la Presse Jeunesse (France), Minimondi (Italy) and Latin American Encounter of Publishers for Children and Young Adult (Colombia). I was a fellow at Program Courants du Monde (Paris, France), Rendez-Vous Québec (Canada), FIL Guadalajara (Mexico) and at the Intenationale Jugendbibliothek (Munich, Germany, 2015). I got my PhD in Comparative Literature at the University of São Paulo, about children's literature on Comparative Studies. The thesis was published as a book format: A representação da criança na literatura infantojuvenil, and was awarded as Best Theory Book by IBBY Brazilian Branch FNLIJ. Finally, I give lectures on publishing, children’s literature and illustrated books.
