The FreelancingHUB provides opportunities for Deakin University students to gain real-world experience while they are studying through team-based project work. As Program Support, I work predominately with Microsoft Teams, ensure all Excel databases are up to date and assist with internal communication management.

During my time at Gracie Jiu Jitsu Burwood, we were fortunate enough to win the Microbusiness of the Year Award at the Whitehorse Excellence in Business Awards in 2019.Responsibilities include handling new member inquiries, stock sales, communicating with any external consultants along with general administrative tasks and paperwork. Created administration processes through Excel to monitor trials and membership uptake. Implemented a Zenplanner software rollout to manage electronic attendance, membership and customer information.

In this role, I manage the magazine submissions as well as writing job adverts, writing contracts, managing the Google Drive, sending out mail outs to magazine contributors, managing the magazine's Issuu site. and respond to emails. I have learned to utilize a variety of websites and applications such as MailChimp, Canva, Trello, Grammarly, Issuu as well as Microsoft Teams and Planner.

Being a PASS Leader has provided me the opportunity to assist struggling first-year students understand what they need to do to pass their subjects. I have dealt with students of a range of abilities and provide them with study support and guidance for subjects which have high failure rates. Subjects that I have taken PASS sessions for include History, Education and Public Relations.
