Graphic Design Artist
CurrentI have now been working almost 6 years as an exhibition designer at The National Gallery. I have wide experience conceptualising exhibitions and working fast and effectively. I have designed more than 20 exhibitions at The National Gallery in which I have managed large budgets, appointed freelances and contractors and worked closely with 3D designers, architects, and lighting designers. In my view, each project is unique, and I dedicate myself 100% to achieve an amazing visitor experience, from the minute they decide to visit an exhibition until they exit the gallery and make a post in their social media about it. Each briefing deserves fully consideration and achieving the most important goal: Be original and provide to the visitors an experience they can’t get nowhere else.My experience extends also to the develop of signage and wayfinding strategy, marketing campaigns and translating to our digital platforms. Not only the exhibition designs, but new and exciting projects from curatorial, education and the content team. It is my priority to engage with younger audiences and I reflect so in my design proposals. I currently work in a busy design studio and self-manage a big workload, combining exhibition design with multidisciplinary projects and cross-working and providing service to all departments in the gallery. I work closely with the exhibitions team but also directorate, education, buildings, curatorial, press, marketing and digital. Although my area of expertise is Graphic design, I am fully aware of the work process of the 3D designers as I work with them daily. I also work as a freelance for the publishing team, designing art catalogues for the exhibitions.
