The data is used to influence improvements with bus services.Whilst being involved with BPS and other ad-hoc/tracking surveys, I am also developing my role within the company to encompass a more in-depth data analytics role, primarily using Excel, SPSS and SQL, complimented with rigorous self-study of Python and R. Previously the lead analyst on the National Rail Passenger Survey. This data is used to influence decisions with rail franchises and secure journey improvements on behalf of rail passengers through working with the rail industry, other passenger groups and the Department for Transport. The data is regarded as a UK National Statistic. Brought new thoughts and learning’s to the analysis process including tighter logic and quality control checks. Responsible for developing the database which controls the sample, fieldwork progress and generation of the questionnaires. Continued development of the quality control checks are paramount and the automation of the reporting to turnaround data delivery accurately and efficiently. The core objective specifically relates to trends, it is of critical importance that surveys continue to function in a way that allows trends to be observed in a consistent manner.Provide advanced programming and technical services needed in support of client studies.
