The Upgrade was a digital-first news source (now defunct) for New Zealand’s travel community, particularly travel agents and brokers, curated by The Travel Corporation. As deputy, I assisted the platform's editor with creating, managing and uploading content regarding the latest travel news, destination spotlights, and ‘on trend’ information for today’s.

At The Travel Corporation, I coordinated local marketing and public relations activities for a number of our global travel brands, and collaborate with my team on wider company projects. From a marketing perspective, I was responsible for implementing plans and launches for both new and existing products for three of our travel brands - Busabout, Uniworld.

I picked up a few casual jobs through Copper, which gave me the opportunity to work with some great brands and connect with some interesting people. I worked at a pop-up gallery in Ponsonby Central on behalf of Junk & Disorderly (sponsored by Xero), and I was also part of an activation for Samsung at the annual Round the Bays event, showcasing new product.

My role at VetCare was varied. Meeting and greeting clients, answering phone and email enquiries, and communicating with other members of staff to ensure we were providing a high level service to our clients were some of the more crucial elements of the job. My duties included, but were not limited to, booking appointments, dispensing prescription.

I worked at NumberWorks'nWords during my final year of study at the University of Auckland. As an English tutor, I managed up to four students per hour, ranging from primary to secondary level. The one-on-one tutoring provided by myself and others accompanied the company's NZ curriculum-based learning programmes. I was involved in the planning of student.
