Empowering Impact Entrepreneurs for Systems Change

SDG Impact Accelerator (SDGia), initiated by the Government of Turkey and UNDP with the support of Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Eczacıbaşı Group, Limak Foundation and World Food Programme (WFP), aims to empower the impact entrepreneurs to help achieve Sustainable Development Goals. SDGia is the first international impact acceleration program that will take place in Turkey.

Worked with HUSAR Bioinformatics Group affiliated with Proteomic and Genomics core facility. Specifically developed the pipeline “PeakDetector” for combining different peak detection tools within a single program. Peak detection is a crucial problem during the process of analyzing Chip-Seq (Chromatin Immunoprecipitation) data combined with Next Generation Sequencing. Became familiar with Unix environment and the pipeline system W3H developed in HUSAR. Also, developed the required program and data flow configuration, designed the resulting XML output, and developed the XLST stylesheet for displaying the results of the pipeline.
