Responsible for the integrated bid management of large PPP (Public Private Partnership) projects like e.g. the German speaking Schools (CAPEX 120 MIO), several bus depots for the Flemish public transport company “De Lijn” (CAPEX 30 à 60 MIO) and new Belgian prisons (CAPEX 250 à 300 MIO), as well as the setup and preparation of multidisciplinary bid teams for other DBFM (Design, Build, Finance and Maintain) projects. In these projects, a large number of partners and consultants (up to 100 persons fore some projects) covering a broad field of expertise like engineering, legal aspects, construction, maintenance & finance are involved and their work and contributions leading to a successful integrated bid have to be supervised and coordinated by the Bid Manager

In the period 1999-2005, I worked as a general program coordinator for the disposal project of low level radioactive waste and I was also responsible for the “technology” division within the R&D department of ONDRAF (the Belgian federal agency responsible for management of radioactive waste). After that, I was project director (guiding a project team of about 15 people) for the design and implementation of a disposal site for radioactive waste in the Campines region of Belgium, a project with strong involvement of local public stakeholders

From 1995 to 1999, responsible for the technical follow-up of large construction projects and the realization of technical expert’s assessments in the field of civil engineering and geotechnics at AIB-Vinçotte Inter (Brussels)

After being employed at the Belgian armed forces in Germany as a military engineer and company commander, I was assistant professor at the Royal Military Academy in civil engineering instruction during the period 1988-1991. In the period 1991-1995, I was project engineer for the construction and renovation of numerous construction projects (e.g. renovation of the Royal Military Academy)
