I started working when I was 16 years old at a Smoothie King, where I became one of the shift managers a month into the job. I worked there for about eight months and got to make lifelong friends with my coworkers. I found out through this job that a few of my main skills are organization, cooperation, and being a team player. This prepared me for my next job, which is my current employment, at Binkley's Kitchen. I get trusted with keeping the restaurant running swiftly throughout the night, especially during the dinner rush. I make sure the BOH and the FOH staffs are always up to date with what is going on that night, and I constantly make sure they have all the help they need with anything. My managers have taught me how to not crack under pressure and how to always be kind to all the customers that come in. They showed me what being a people person is and it gave me the confidence to be able to nicely talk to all the people that come in for dinner.
