At the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I worked part-time for UW Athletics as a Football Performance Nutrition Student Worker, aiding in supplying the team with nutritional tools and fuel to optimize athletic performance. In addition, I was an active member of the Dietetics and Nutrition Club and I have previously partaken in an on-campus club, Her Campus, as a writer, where I created informative and interesting articles about nutrition and other health aspects. After receiving my Bachelors Degree in Nutritional Sciences through the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I began and completed my Master's of Science in Dietetics + Dietetic Internship track through Viterbo University. I completed my foodservice management and community rotations through the University of Florida football team. There I gained experience working with three registered dietitians helping fuel the team, create and deliver nutrition education materials, implement hydration strategies, manage foodservice operations and work in an inter-professional healthcare team to deliver nutrition care and materials. Additionally, I completed my remaining dietetic internship rotations through A4 Health where I worked and collaborated with multiple dietitians assisting teams such as the Minnesota Timberwolves, Minnesota Wild, San Jose Sharks and teams Macalester University. Once I received my Masters degree, I sat for my Registered Dietitian exam and received my RDN credentials. Upon becoming a registered dietitian, I pursued a fellowship through Texas A&M University Athletics, working with their football team. Learning from the Director of Football Nutrition allowed me to gain skills in communication with various athletic departments, creating specialized nutrition plans, providing nutrition support for injury rehabilitation, managing fuel stations and student workers, and planning menus/overseeing meals at the dining hall facilities.I have now chosen to pursue my goal of becoming a Director of a Sports Nutrition program and have done so at the University of Tulsa.
