Hi! I'm Bella Cox, a first-generation college student at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, I am currently pursuing a degree in journalism with a minor in women and gender studies. My academic journey has been fueled by a passion for storytelling and a desire to highlight the diverse voices that often go unheard. I believe that journalism plays a crucial role in shaping societal narratives, and I am eager to explore the intersection of media and gender issues in my work.As a third-year student at Cal Poly, I am thrilled to begin working as a news reporter at Mustang News. I am ready to absorb all the insight my editors and fellow reporters have to offer me. This Fall, I also began working as an editor for the Her Campus Cal Poly Magazine. While I joined the club as a writer in January 2024, I am delighted to use the tools I have learned as a published writer to offer insight to Her Campus writers and learn all that I can from these two amazing opportunities.I am always looking to expand my journalistic knowledge with hands-on experience in collaboration with individuals on the same path. I have much room to enhance my perception as a journalist and with a hard-working mindset and a drive for excellence, I cannot wait to explore all the opportunities life has to offer me!
