During a six-month sabbatical from my role as Executive Director at ShoutOut, I took up a position with OutRight Action International. OutRight works at the international, regional and national levels to research, document, defend, and advance human rights for LGBTIQ people around the world. At OutRight, I was lucky to work with the incredible team based at the NYC headquarters. I carried out a research project looking at the legislative status of Conversion Therapy in around the globe. I also worked training and coordinating the Religion Fellows, who are activists from around the world coming to the UN to advocate for their communities. I spent significant time in the United Nations, helping coordinate advocacy throughout vital events. I also spend some time on the Development team and helped coordinate our group marching at World Pride, on the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots.
