A remedial management assignment as consultant Managing Director for the Ceylon P&I Club based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Later renamed, repositioned and restructured as ‘The Indian Ocean P&I Club’ this assignment included the development of a five year business plan with E&Y Dubai and in looking for private investment, recapitalisation. A complete review and replacement of the reinsurance program for the Club was successfully completed with Guy Carpenter, Lloyds Brokers and with subscribing underwriters at Lloyds. Direct negotiation with the Director General of Shipping in Mumbai, India for ‘approved insurer’ status.
