About Shannon Bellamy

I’m passionate about creating large-scale, meaningful change by making it easy and affordable for both individuals and small businesses to take part in sustainable solutions.Currently, I lead Clean Heat Rhode Island, an incentive program aimed at reducing GHG emissions by providing incentives and support for high-efficiency heat pump installations across RI homes, non-profits, and small-to-mid-sized businesses. Launched Sept 2023 and initially funded with $25M from federal relief grants, CHRI is proud to be in our second year and well on our way to accomplishing our goals! Before this, I worked with New York municipalities to launch pioneering renewable energy initiatives featuring the NY Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) Framework. In this role, we were able to help over 100,000 households and small businesses access affordable, 100% renewable electricity. I'm also thrilled to have played a key role in the launch of the country’s first-ever opt-out community solar program through Finger Lakes Community Choice.I've also spent some time in a corporate consulting capacity in an ESG & Sustainability-focused role, helping organizations across the world develop carbon accounting and decarbonization strategies.Learn more about me and my professional experiences on my website linked below, I'll try my best to keep it relatively up to date!
