As the Motor Gas Scheduler, I oversaw the production of 10 million gallons of gasoline a day at the nation's largest refinery. That was 2.5-3% of U.S. supply at the time. This was a cool job - especially for a 19 year old.I also did a bunch of other stuff here too since I was a co-op. I did corrosion analysis studies on pipes (that was pretty boring), I revised and automated much of the Oil Loss Coordinator role (the process of doing a mass balance on the entire refinery), and I also mastered the fine art of leaving work early.
