Focus in Surgical Ward - Plan, assess, implement and evaluate clinical care to patients pre and post surgery; focusing on orthopedic, trauma and elective. Main roles within surgical ward include home reviews, equipment and functional reviews, cognitive screening, upper limb therapy. - Provide direct and indirect clinical input, direction and guidance to the multidisciplinary team, occupational therapy assistants and nursing staff. - Provide education and support to patients and their carers/families for the management of their health recovery and discharge plans. - Ongoing learning and professional development to ensure registration requirements are met and quality of service is continually increasing.
