I am the Administration Assistant for Canberra Conventions Bureau and this often makes me the first port of call for most enquires whether this be via the phone, through the reception area or via email. I see it important to be bright and bubbly and keep a great vibe going throughout the office.Day to day my focus is with the sales team - my role is to keep the sales team on track, making sure travel is booked, people are running on time, I see myself as the organiser person for the sales team.My hospitality and events background has really come in handy in this role, working with people and understanding events and venues. Having come into a role that is people oriented, events and Canberra focused ticked a lot of the boxes for me. This role ties in much of my experience while bringing me into the corporate space.One other great thing about this role is I get to be proud of and show-off Canberra. I love the fact that Canberra is foodie focused with so many great restaurants and cafes and it doesnt take long for you to find ‘your spot’. I love that you get to experience the seasons here in Canberra and enjoy each of them.
