This work involved analyzing patterns of giving, understanding donor motivations, and assessing the impact of these contributions on the development of higher education across Africa.• Played a pivotal role in developing a yet-to-be-published white paper that will serve as a valuable resource for policymakers, educational institutions, and philanthropic entities, guiding strategic planning and fostering more effective philanthropic engagements on the continent.

• Co-created and implemented the Centrally Localized Almajiri System (CLAS), which incorporates basic literacy, numeracy, and life skills for Almajiri children within their community with the funding support of 20 million Naira from the Finnish Government. This initiative successfully integrated modern curriculum elements with traditional learning, respecting cultural nuances while promoting essential educational outcomes.• Led the implementation of a partnership project with UNICEF that helped improve the capacity of government and non-governmental child protection actors, immediate families, and communities to respond to the COVID-19 risk response strategies with respect to more than 20,000 Almajiri street children.• Co-led comprehensive research and impact assessments to evaluate the needs of Almajiri children and the effectiveness of different interventions, using data-driven approaches to develop nine policy recommendations to government and non-governmental actors, which was presented to Federal and Northern State Governors including UNICEF Nigeria.

• Co-create compelling grant proposals that secured over $2.95 million from donors like the Tony Blair Institute, the US government, and the European Union Trust Fund, which supported peacebuilding, stabilization, and youth empowerment in conflict zones of West Africa and the Sahel Region with 2,000+ direct beneficiaries.• Supported the Strategic stewardship of grants and implemented rigorous management practices to ensure compliance with donors reporting requirements, and maximization of impact on the ground with the Program Manager and the CEO.• Acted as the primary contact for DIWA in media interviews, public forums, and conferences, effectively communicating the organization’s impact and needs to a broad audience.
