With a unique blend of roles as a beneficiary, funder, and nonprofit leader, and over 15 years of experience in community development, philanthropic fundraising, grantmaking, nonprofit leadership capacity strengthening, people management, and partner engagement in the Global North and South. I also served as a research team member for the Carnegie Foundation’s extensive research on higher education philanthropy in Africa.I honed my grant-making skills while serving as a Program Officer at Elevance Health Foundation, where I was part of a team that recommended grants worth over 90 million USD to organizations implementing Food, Mental, and Maternal Health Programs in the United States and Puerto Rico.As a fundraiser, I have sharpened my prospecting and grant writing skills, trained high-ticket clients on these subjects, and received over $5 Million USD from corporate and individual donors.Guided by a strong belief in the transformative power of philanthropy and social justice, I am committed to empowering communities and individuals to drive positive social change.
