Prior to my introduction 10 years ago in to the world of process manufacturing software technology I spent most of the previous 20 years in the application of industrial heat processing systems in the manufacturing environment. I worked closely with both discrete and process manufacturers in the design, construction, installation and commissioning of furnaces and ovens used in various manufacturing operations. During that time I owned and operated a small Manufacturers Representative firm and I also managed a fabrication and manufacturing facility. This varied experience provided me with the opportunity to develop skills in business management, financial operations and the direct application of manufacturing processes and technology. These skills have been a great benefit to me in the application of integrated software solutions into the process manufacturing environment. As with the software applications we support I have been directly involved in accounting, distribution and manufacturing operations. I believe this provides me with a unique understanding of the challenges faced by many businesses and how the application of technology can be used to help small and mid-sized process manufacturers remain competitive in the global market.
