Ben Alberga is an Environmental Engineer-In-Training who is passionate about recovering value from wastewater and helping communities solve their water treatment problems. Ben recently started his position at Associated Engineering in the urban water group. He graduated from the University of British Columbia in May of 2023. Ben has experience working for the soil management software startup SoilFLO and in stormwater engineering consulting with IBI Group (now Arcadis-IBI Group). He competed in the Water Environment Federation’s (WEF) student design competition along with four fellow UBC students in the wastewater category and achieved second place. The team presented their innovative biosolids management strategy for the Regional District of Nanaimo.
