Core part of the small team responsible for the idea conception, development and subsequent construction of the £120m world first Low Carbon Glasshouse portfolio in the U.K via Low Carbon Farming. Also Involved with the development of:1. Final dosage formulations of GMP certified medicinal cannabis via Grovida. 2. Commercial scale ground mounted solar PV Farms in the USA via Sulas Solar.3. Self build residential properties via Landstrom group. 4. The UK's largest roll out of Electric vehicle charging points via EVC5. Early stage feasibility and business planning for a wide range of new business ventures.

Specific roles include, but are not limited to:• Presenting ideas during initial business plan and feasibility stage• Overseeing GIS systems to aid site selection.• Meeting with landlords and heavily involved with negotiating options• Running competitive tender process for pipeline, utility, civils and glasshouse works packages• Submission and liaison with utility providers with regards to electrical import and export connections, gas connections, mains water connections, foul water connections and internet. A role was also taken in the sizing of each of these utilities• Working with design teams to provide basic concept designs suitable for planning• Acting as liaison between planning team, engineering teams and growers to ensure the planning application submitted represents a deliverable and operationally workable project • Assisting with the discharging of conditions• Engaging with local communities to alleviate concerns (Parish Councillors, local people, LPA etc)• Research into the financial mechanisms inherent to the RHI• Comparing glasshouse quotations for inclusions and omissions whilst looking to ensure they are in coherence with our planning applications• Working with civil engineers to produce a civils tender package• Working with EA regarding water abstraction• Working with utility asset protection teams to obtain approved mitigation works packages + tendering out those packages• Answering hundreds of legal, technical & commercial due diligence questions put forward by advisors appointed by various multi billion pound infrastructure grade investors• Travelling across Europe to meet suppliers, contractors, growers, funders• Learning about the basics of growing from some of the UK and Europe's most experienced growers• Liaison with UK Supermarket sustainability teams• Working with sewage treatment works operator and heating engineers to determine suitable locations on site for heat offtake.I will play a support role during construction

Similar to my previous Internship, I was again tasked with the creation of a Macro-enabled spreadsheet that enabled the Renewables team to monitor the stocks that were of interest to them. I encorporated useful features into the spreadsheet. Such as real-time information on the amount of money invested in each stock, and a history of when money was invested. This enables the team to see which stocks are trending quickly and easilyThe spreadsheet was in demand from others in the company and it was easily adapatable to other sectors such as Oil and Gas and Healthcare.I was also asked to write briefs on IPO documents and hence gained an understanding of the detailed business plans that are required when a large business registers itself to the stock exchange.I produced a report on the current status of Singapore business trusts.

I was tasked with the creation of a Macro-enabled spreadsheet. The aim was to provide the Cleantech and Renewables team a view of which Capital Investment funds had invested in a pre-determined list of Cleantech and Renewable stocks, registered on the AIM market. I retrieved the Market information from the website Capital IQ.

During the work experience I shadowed the man responsible for setting the Libor rates for Citibank and was therefore educated into how Libor rates were set and what influences the rate. On top of this I was also educated into the basics of Investment Banking and trading shares.
