About Ben Andrews

Ben is passionate about providing opportunities for individuals to tell stories, through film, theatre and self expression. He has a special affinity for performing for children and young people, as well as helping them develop their own voices and confidence through the performing arts. This passion for telling and delivering stories was key in his creation of 'this is NOT a film festival' a premier and highly successful short film event in Melbourne. After many years running RMIT University's performing arts program, the pandemic saw Ben's passion for producing theatre take more of his focus. He started a slow roll out of The Maybe Pile in 2020 as a banner for all his creative projects as the world opened back up.When he is not in a theatre, Ben can be found enthusiastically exercising the boundaries of his already long creative leash at AltMed - a medicinal cannabis education company as their graphic designer and content creator. Graphic Design has been a steady creative passion Ben's whole life. Brand identity and the importance of graphic design as a key part of contributing to the creative vision of a show and theatre company, as well as crucial in marketing the show to audiences.
