I developed Energy Projects from site identification and initial contact with a Landowner through to construction.• Site Finding: Sourcing suitable sites with viable grid and gas connections (where required).• Planning: Managing the planning process including working closely with the various consultants preparing reports, site designers, statutory bodies, local parish representatives and the general public if the site is contentious. • Legals: Managing the Legal process from start to finish. I must liaise very effectively with Landowners (Commercial and Private), Land Agents, Solicitors and Funders. For each site I must obtain a marketable Option and Lease along with any necessary Wayleaves/Easements many of which are often across third party land. • Innovation: During the last 9 months of my time at Enso Energy it was my role to develop new ways of connecting smaller scale (sub 57MW) energy projects. This work resulted in a viable way of connecting UK’s National Transmission Network via a Tertiary Winding Connection directly into National Grid’s Supergrid Transformers. Major achievements:• Successful delivery personally of 295MWs of Gas Peaker across 10 sites and one 20MW Battery Storage Facility. To date all of the sites I have developed have achieved planning consent, whether that be through a delegated decision, Planning Committee or a successful Appeal to the Planning Inspectorate.
