I was elected to serve as Chapter Trustee to our National Association in 2021. It's the next step in my service with our state chapter. I was first elected by the Chapter in 2015 to serve as President. The position is a 3 year term where you serve as President-Elect, President then Immediate Past-President. I led the planning efforts for our chapter's Annual Meeting and Expo "Art and Landscape" which was held in Grand Rapids on September 28th and 29th 2016. I was re-elected to the President position in 2017, and co-chaired our annual meeting in Kalamazoo on October 3rd and 4th 2018. The Chapter is working hard to educate, advocate and defend Licensure in Michigan.

I was hired to expand the company's professional services to include Landscape Architecture. I work closely with our Engineering and Architecture departments on a wide range of project types. I also help with marketing and proposal writing for our multi-disciplinary projects. I lead our office GREENteam to incorporate sustainability, efficiency and employee health into our office.

• Manage and execute all levels of projects from conceptual design through construction• Involved in LEED certified projects• Contributed to and managed award winning projects including Randolph-Franklin Pocket Park (IL-ASLA Honor Award, 2011), The University of Chicago Law School Reflecting Pool Renovation (IL-ASLA President’s Award, 2009), Gold Star Families Memorial and Park, The Chicago Police Memorial (IL-ASLA Honor Award, 2008), and The Gary Greenlink (IL-ASLA Merit Award, 2005). Ben also worked on the Cheney Mansion Master Plan for the Park District of Oak Park, the first phase of improvements, focusing on accessibility, received an IL-ASLA Merit Award in 2012.
