A Physiotherapist with an immense passion for working with adult's and children with neurological conditions.Throughout my career and previous training as a student, I have been exposed to different types of training such as functional electrical stimulation training, small group training, activity-based training, gym training, hydrotherapy, strength and conditioning, and play-based training which is tailored for both children and adults. Furthermore, my role as a mobile-physiotherapist has given me the opportunity to work closely with children and adults with Cerebral Palsy (CP), Acquired Brain injuries (ABI’s), Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI’s), Autism, intellectual disabilities, and children with developmental delay. I have comprehensive knowledge around the NDIS framework which has stemmed from 6+ years experience working as a disability support worker, therapy assistant, and physiotherapist. I have experience with writing NDIS reports, as well as completing Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA’s) for individuals with neurological conditions. From my work in the NDIS field and as a physiotherapist, I have developed the knowledge and experience to help advocate for individuals needing assistive technology and have experience trialling and prescribing equipment for children and adults. As a Physiotherapist, I take great pride in personal development, and aim to continuously upskill my-self in areas which I am passionate about and in areas which I am still developing in. My self-drive, determination, and positive outlook on up-skilling myself is evident through my completion of online MONASH University short courses, and is a reflection on the type of characteristics I hold as a health professional and reflects my passion towards helping individuals with neurological conditions.Five words that describe me: Respectful, Empathetic, Organised, Motivated, Team-Orientated.
