Growing up, I was an average student who found rote learning challenging.Today, my mission is to create a better way to learn and develop new skills.Despite my difficulties with traditional learning methods, I followed the conventional path and studied political science, sociology, and law at university.After a few years of working as a corporate and commercial lawyer in Perth, I had the opportunity to work in Shanghai and explore a new culture.But the thought of how I could make a greater impact was always in my mind.I decided to leave law and started an MBA program at Hult during this time.While completing the final part of my studies in San Francisco, I first encountered VR and saw a new world opening before my eyes.Using the original Google Cardboard headset, I began exploring how VR's immersive nature could revolutionize the development of new skills.Two years later, I took a leap of faith and joined an accelerator program. The goal? To solve the problem my 10-year-old self struggled with.My research confirmed my initial hunch: immersive training methods are more effective than traditional classroom learning and more engaging, cost-effective, and scalable than in-person learning.Today, at Facilitate, we empower organizations to unlock the potential of immersive training experiences.Join me as I share my thoughts on entrepreneurship, VR, and the transformative power of immersive training.
