Eveneting Canada is an amateur athletic sport specific equine centre. Here I performed a variety of Tasks such as:• Cleaned and prepared stalls to exceed boarders standards• Managed materials usage to meet a strict budget• Maintained a cross country course to ensure safety of all participants• Completed a variety of projects at my own initiative. Some examples include: repairing and improving fence lines, pruning trees, sanding and staining a deck, and refinishing an indoor arenaI was also required to maintain a cross country course, this required the mowing of approximately 15 acres of grass and the upkeep of over 20 obstacles. It was my responsibility to ensure the safety of all the riders on the property through this maintenance.I used spare time to complete projects. From leveling the parking area to fixing fence lines, the variability of the tasks performed meant that I was often required to learn new skills in order to complete projects. This also meant that I had to be innovative, so as to manage the farms limited resources effectively. An informal proposal was presented which included a justified budget for expenses as well as an aggressive timeline so as to minimize disruption to the boarders at the facility. My projects for Eventing Canada were performed strategically to manage the high volume of work. I made the most of my resources and my goal each day was to leave the farm at the end of the day in a much more presentable state than it was when i arrived that morning.
