Involving excel data analysis to understand the demographics of the profession. He also completed a literature review at an international scope for supporting the argument he produced into an academic report.

Ben completed a Australian Technology Network Universities internship funded by the Australian Governments New Colombo Plan. The Internship was virtual with an Indonesian host company during the COVID years where travel was impossible. Ben researched a variety of urban development facilities such as Industrial estates particularly in Indonesia and around the world. Developing his Urban Design skills in presenting research visually using infographics and maps.

Ben completed through the Australian Network on Disability an internship at the Australian Bureau of Statistics. He worked as part of a team to review test surveys involving SAS programming and analysing data. He completed an data analysis project comparing two surveys.

Ben completed his university placement in the Coast and Marine Branch at the South Australian Department for Environment and Water. The branch had a focus on assessing development applications in coastal regional South Australia. Ben worked in a multidisciplinary team with planners, environmental scientists and engineers. Ben completed a project to research coastal planning policies interstate. He was regularly involved in preparing agendas for the Coast Protection Board meetings
