Provide utility support for the operation of equipment on the rig floor. This includes assembling and disassembling drilling pipe, raising and lowering equipment, and assisting in maintaining and repairing equipment.• Responsible for personal safety and the safety of co-workers.• Participate in rig safety meetings and other rig safety programs.• Follow correct lock-out, tag-out procedures.• Show commitment to safety culture through personal behavior and willingness to influence others.• Assemble and disassembles the bottom hole drilling tool assembly.• Assemble drill string onto the bottom hole assembly.• Disassemble the drill string by unthreading connecting lengths of pipe.• Transfer joints of tubular pipe, drill stem, collars and casing to and from the drill floor and catwalks or pipe racks.• Assist in rigging up well control equipment.• Perform tasks at shakers and mud tanks• Assist in preparation for rig moves and rig-ups.• Perform preventative maintenance and repair on drilling machinery, mud pumps tongs, slips, wire rope, BOP equipment and hoisting units.

The Roustabout will safely and efficiently perform the general manual labor tasks throughout the rig under the supervision of the Crane Operator. This includes, but is not limited to, offloading and backloading of supply vessels, maintenance, clean up, housekeeping, chipping and painting of the rig, the movement and relocation of supplies, groceries and equipment of the rig, simple maintenance and repairs to the plumbing and sewer systems, working in the chemical mixing area, as well as providing relief workers for the drill floor crew and assistance to the Welder, Mechanic, Electrician, Driller or Derrickhand as directed to do so by the Crane Operator.
