Meso-Scale (Field-Scale):• Two geological field mapping excursions to Panoche Hills, Central California to study and sample onshore geological analogues of fluid-escape systems. Experience of working in a remote, arid environment. • Geological field mapping excursion to Varna, Bulgaria to study and sample onshore geological analogues of ancient methane seep formation in sandstone. The study combined UAV drone mapping with detailed field observations. • Near surface fault characterisation and mapping of a modern, active fluid-escape system in the Central North Sea using 2D (Sub-bottom profiler, Sparker, GI-gun) and 3D seismic data. Data analysis achieved using Petrel and ArcGIS. I am able to integrate outcrop data with subsurface data, understand how the data complement each other, and see the value outcrops can bring to improving subsurface models.Pore-Scale Digital Rock Physics:• Over 6 years of 3D X-ray micro-CT processing and image-based modelling experience. I am highly competent with a number of imaging software: Python-based Savu, CT Pro 3D, Avizo, ImageJ (Fiji), ScanIP (Simpleware), MATLAB, as well as PerGeos and Comsol software for finite element fluid-flow modelling.• In May 2018 and May 2022, I successfully won grant proposals to conduct my own 3D X-ray micro-CT experiment at Diamond Synchrotron, Oxford, UK. I co-led a team of 7 experienced research scientists.

4-month internship in the Geomechanics and Containment Technologies Team (PTX). - As part of the research project ACT-DETECT, I constructed a geomodel of a prospective CO2 storage site n the Moray Firth basin, North Sea using Petrel, for modelling of risks related to fault reactivation and leakage within the overburden.- Key skills required and developed include: [1] Seismic interpretation of 3D regional datasets, integrated with well data analysis. [2] Data base management, with knowledge of model uncertainties intrinsic to the subsurface data. [3] Effective stakeholder engagement for delivery of the project in a timely manner.
