Converted a proof of concept search application (mostly written in PHP and Java) to a production environment (CentOS/Python/PostGreSQL). Metadata was created via hybrid of curated and automated extraction from a large database of scientific data. The web based application returned ranked results (using the metadata) in real-time to combined geospatial and temporal search criteria. Results were shown using text / Google Mashup.
