This was my second year summer hire program, and my work was highly appreciated by the team, so I was requested to be reassigned to the Facilities Team. I supported new summer hire interns through delegating and supporting them with project management. I wrote several contracts for house cleaning. I automated many spreadsheets increasing the efficiency of the section. I worked closely with an architect and two civil engineers and learned to use Autocad & Revit while designing signs following Department of Transportation policy, and surveying houses in need of repair.

I worked in the summer hire program at the US Embassy Nairobi under facilities management which manages the US government owned properties. I worked closely with the head of automatic systems and a mechanical engineer. My responsibilities included mapping thermostats, measuring tennis courts, measuring and visualizing brick moisture in a wall, reading contracts, relocating/organizing building records, and keeping track of the warehouses and office supplies stock by using spreadsheets.
