I led a team of web engineers responsible for developing features to improve the customer experience and increase product discovery and sales on our website. This included improvements to search and product detail pages, as well as the creation of product spotlights and other promotional features. I also developed an artistic brand landing page for Foxtrot and internal tools, such as a packing tool, to improve cross-team collaboration and reduce lost inventory. In addition to my technical responsibilities, I mentored and managed junior engineers and interns, helping them learn our codebase and build new features. I also proposed and implemented new patterns and practices to increase developer efficiency, and designed and prototyped engaging features, such as Easter eggs and collectible badges, to drive customer engagement and amusement.

Managed the development and maintenance of 10+ websites for various Grubhub marketing teams. I significantly improved the performance of corporate.grubhub.com by redesigning it using Gatsbyjs and React with a headless Wordpress backend, resulting in a Lighthouse score of over 90, compared to the previous score of 35-40. I also developed internal applications for email building and deep link generation, and built landing pages to capture leads for large nationwide campaigns, which generated hundreds of thousands of signups. I contributed to the successful launch of the Grubhub+ campaign, which reached over 8.5 million people and led to a 100% growth in GH+ signups in Chicago and New York. In addition, I developed Grubhub's Year in Review landing pages, which were the most viewed pages on the company's blog for two years in a row.

Created and launched a new email service aimed at helping beginner UI designers build their portfolio through daily design challenges. Emails are made and sent using the ActiveCampaign platform and the site was built by hand using Gatsbyjs and React and hosted on Netlify. Go sign up!

As the UI/UX developer at Heartland I was responsible for developing and implementing all of the website updates and email strategies for multiple brands including Splenda, Java House and Promise Tea. I developed multiple sites from the ground up for the previously mentioned brands and would assist in developing new strategies for those sites in order to better reach our audience. Alongside web development, I was responsible for creating and sending all of our marketing emails using Salesforce and MailChimp and custom coded HTML email templates. Throughout my time at Heartland, I cut the development time of these emails from 1 week to about half of a day.

As the Web and Mobile Engineer at Aubry Lane I was tasked with the design, development and deployment of the Aubry Lane iOS app on the App Store. While constructing the app I learned various skills such as programming in Swift, enabling location based services, and deploying the app for both beta testing using iTunes Connect and Test Flight and to the App Store.

As the IT intern I was mainly responsible for creating a website that the company could use to track product archives. I also helped research and develop a future product concept which involved further knowledge of multiple coding languages as well as design aspects for media.

During my time I was responsible for creating process improvements to the warehouse packaging line and writing a manual for daily warehouse operations. I gained experience in Adobe Illustrator and UV printing technology and further honed my prioritization skills in order to cut warehouse shipping times by 1 business day while I was there.
