I also monitor system activity and track usage to deliver recommendations to improve performance, capability or information to increase user adoption. I provide support to the NR Business Planning team and to the wider Hyperion end user community. I develop training manuals and deliver Hyperion & Smart View training as required. I also provide timely communications on behalf of the Hyperion Business Support team to the Hyperion user community and stakeholders regarding outages, data load completions and system availability.I capture, analyse and deliver business requirements within the Hyperion platform in order to provide enhancements and additions to the functionality of the business planning process. I make recommendations and deliver appropriate housekeeping jobs and scripts to keep existing business planning processes running within expected timeframes.I problem solve inaccuracies in the data model that prohibit the timely update of the financial information and I ensure service management principles are followed for the management of the corporate information model. I tried to make reports user friendly and as automated as possible, with drill down functionality to base data where appropriate. This means I became highly proficient in Microsoft Reporting Services in a short space of time.I was responsible for the financial data extraction in the preparation of the Statutory Accounts, ensuring the reporting of balances against the correct categories. I was also often the first point of contact for internal and external auditors requiring accurate, usable information from the finance system.I produced the financial benchmarking data for annual returns. This involved collating information from the statutory and management accounts and meeting with managers to determine allocations. I acted up for a year, covering the maternity leave of an Assistant Accountant, where I gained the experience of managing two members of staff as well as assuming responsibility for the payroll checking and purchase ledger processes. In the previous finance system I was responsible for developing and maintaining the financial reporting for the Finance team. This included setting up new reports required by management and collating links to all useful reports in one document for ease of access. I undertook the systems administrator role for the finance system, which included ensuring users had access to the parts of the system they needed to undertake their day to day roles, troubleshooting problems with the purchase ordering system and maintaining static data such as the chart of accounts, user approval limits and creditor information.
