As a lecturer, educator, and trainer, I am a believer in the knowledge sharing economy. It is what gets me up in the morning and sometimes it is what keeps me awake at night, the potential and possibilities of knowledge transfers. It is not simply learning from a source that is exciting but teaching each other that really opens up the mind to the innovation of knowledge. This cross-pollination between different disciplines or even between diverse cultures creates massive and exponential possibilities within a short period of time. Great ideas today are not singular ideas, but a mesh of many good ideas. This belief in me led me to see impossibility not as a reality but as incomplete ideas or knowledge. To me, there is always a way, and unless we have exhausted all possible avenues to overcome the obstacle, we should not be mentally defeated.As an institution builder, I love watching people’s face light up as they learn new and relevant skills.
