As part of the Infrastructure Management & Governance Team, the Lead Consultant,Strategic Asset Management’s primary purpose is to lead the ‘best practice’ development,implementation, review and maintenance of the Asset Management Framework incorporatingpolicy, strategy, management and operational plans.The Lead Consultant, Strategic Asset Management is responsible for;• Leading the annual review process to measure actual performance against Infrastructureplans to inform Council of the need for future investment or improvement in the strategicmanagement of assets. Developing, updating and promoting the Asset ManagementPolicy and Strategy and other infrastructure related procedures and plans within Council.• Leading the development and execution of defining the Asset Management risk profileand Service Level indices in collaboration with the other business programs.• Leading the development and implementation of the Asset Management Frameworkincluding Identifying and implementing areas to improve asset management practicesand systems to become a best practice organisation and industry leader.• Benchmarking and leading continuous improvement regarding asset managementpractices within the organisation.• Collaborate across the broader business to ensure the successful implementation of theAsset Management Strategy.• Ensuring Council projects and programs of work are planned and prioritised inaccordance with the Asset Management Plans and the Asset Management Strategy.• Identifying and defining key business challenges in relation to the Infrastructure programand provide solutions to meet these challenges.• Working collaboratively with the Infrastructure Management & Governance TeamLeaders, contribute to the leadership and development of the team with a view tomaximising the quality, effectiveness and timeliness of services within the team.

- Provides advice, training and support to the Asset Management Information System users- ensures the integrity of the corporate asset register- helps develop and deliver a program for continuous business improvement - leading change with over 200 effected staff - improved asset management maturity of Council’s community and infrastructure assets- closely support the organisation through significant business process change. - build and develop LTFP models (within Assetic Predictor) based on condition parameters determined by engineers and budgets provided by finance- written reports and presentations to Audit Committee and Council- provide support with asset capitalisation and help act as conduit between finance and project managers
