Incredibly hardworking, driven, creative and malleable. I have obtained a varied skillset and knowledge base via higher education and a career within a diverse range of roles and fields. I’m currently working within the education sector as a qualified class teacher. My background in business and my education in communications and creative writing have aided me in this endeavour; allowing me to confidently deliver subject material to large groups, to communicate and build personal relationships with stakeholders and to be accountable for the performance and targets of my pupils. Previously I have overseen the running of a small enterprise situated in the environmental services and pest control industry. I have worked as a technical recruitment consultant, specialising in the delivery of skilled, white-collar professionals to large projects in the power and nuclear sectors. I have also worked within a well-respected PR agency writing press releases, writing articles (print & online) & managing social feeds; for a number of clients; both large and small. My first degree was a double honours in Public Relations and Media obtained from Sheffield Hallam University in 2014. My most recently obtained degree was a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) obtained from The University of Huddersfield in July 2019. This degree (containing Masters level assignments and credits) was obtained whilst working full-time in a classroom setting alongside the completion of my initial teacher training year (School Direct Route).

Upon the completion of my ITT year, I was selected by my training provider to give a speech to the following year's cohort of trainee teachers; of whom were following the same route that I had taken previously. The purpose of the speech was to motivate via highlighting my own success story, to convey the attributes needed to get through such a gruelling year and to inform them of the upcoming tasks, processes and expectations of the training year.
