The process of launching and operating ophthalmic lens manufacturing laboratories has provided me with executive level experience in raising capital, P&L and cashflow management, overseeing fiscal activity, and establishing and executing company vision. From the standpoint of operating an optical laboratory, my experience establishing manufacturing processes and overseeing the day to day activities of a new manufacturing facility complements my executive experience with practical hands-on experience. My true passion is to provide the highest quality lens and AR services to the independent eye care community.My story as an optical industry entrepreneur and senior executive began after nine years in the optical industry. At that time it became clear that all the good independent labs were getting sold and turning corporate, so I started one. I built Independent Optical Lab from the ground up in 2019 with my wife Sarah Collier. After successfully establishing and operating IOL into 2023, we are launching Collier Optical Lab as the newest independent optical lab in the US.
