I serve as the township administrator for Plain Township in Franklin County, Ohio. I have gained an appreciation for the art of intergovernmental relations and the pursuit of collaboration. My goal has always been to provide good government with a focus on transparency, responsiveness, effectiveness, and efficiency. I have developed a close working relationship with neighboring jurisdictions as well as county and state governments. I have worked to generate a culture of professionalism while encouraging professional development at all levels, cooperative decision-making, and instilling a sense of pride and purpose in all township operations. I began my career in public service working for my local county engineer's office as an undergraduate. I graduated from the Ohio State University with a bachelor's in political science with honors and a growing interest in local government. After earning my law degree and master of public administration, I joined the Delaware County Prosecutor's Office. As an assistant prosecutor in the civil division, I represented the county's 18 townships as well as county boards, commissions, and agencies. I have also worked as a research assistant with Summit County Council, a management analyst supervisor with the Ohio Department of Education, and advised local school boards. My experience includes township law, administrative law, zoning law, statutory compliance, contracts, public records compliance, economic development, strategic planning, project management, human resources, benefits and compensation, local government administration, budget and finance, policy development, leadership development, succession planning, and grant writing.
